Wise Women Botanicas, Inc. got it humbled beginning in May 2008. Even though that is when the company was formed, it's actually been coming around for a long time.

Andrea Crowell, owner, started down her natural journey in December 2003 when she started her first company, Illuminating Balance, Inc. manufacturing all-natural & eco-friendly candles. After doing a few years of research before she started the company, she made the decision to make them as natural as she could by using soy wax, essential oils and help wicks.

The essential oils intrigued her. She began to study more in-depth and received her Clinical Aromatherapy certification at the beginning of 2007. One thing lead to another and she received her Master Herbalist certification early in 2008. She found it very interesting to see how essential oils and herbs, together or separate, could help others balance the different needs in their bodies.

It was at this point that she decided to make some teas that her and her family could drink on a regular basis. A conversation came up one night at dinner about Great Grandma Angelina & what she used to use. To read more about this, go to her page Great Grandma Angelina.

With herb knowledge running through her blood, it only seemed appropriate to share the knowledge with others. This was another reason why Wise Women Botanicas, Inc. was born.
